Crowthorne Parish Council (CPC) has been awarded a grant from the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Thames Valley, ‘Community Safety Fund’ (allocated by the Community Safety Partnership), to fund detached youth work in Crowthorne until March 2025.

CPC has appointed The Wayz youth team to deliver the detached youth work project.

Gareth Mepham, Area Youth and Community Work Manager has shared the press release below.

Our Approach

To work with and support young people within the community. Our team will professionally engage with young people and explore their views, understanding and participation around their own development as well as opportunities to engage within the community. We often talk about community activity, school, their likes, dislikes and challenges. Our team constantly assess the engagement around who is appropriate and what level of engagement is appropriate.

Our team will work closely with Crowthorne Parish Council, Bracknell Forest Community Safety Team and local partners to optimise the offer to young people.

We are excited about some of the development plans for the village, as well as working on youth led plans for activities and events for the summer months.

Feel free to contact us on
Gareth@thewayzyouth.co.uk if you have any questions, comments or suggestions.

All our staff are Enhance DBS checked and hold certificates in First Aid, Safeguarding and Health and Safety as Standard.
