National Knife Crime Awareness Week
11th -

During the week commencing Monday 11 March, Thames valley Police, along with other forces across the country will be taking part in a variety of activities designed to challenge and reduce the threat of knife crime. This includes,
- Targeted work with our professional partners, including schools, colleges and Trading Standards.
- Information and advice being posted on social media
- Enforcement patrols
- Knife surrender bins.
During the week you can safely and anonymously deposit any type of knife or bladed article in our red surrender bins, located in the public lobbies of your local Police Station. This is the ideal time to dispose of any such item that you are not sure what to do with and no longer want within your home. If you have any such item, you can dispose of them at either;
Bracknell Police Station between 10.00am and 6.00pm Monday – Friday
Or Loddon Valley Police Station between 08.00am and 10.00pm any day.
There will also be bins at Newbury, Reading, Maidenhead and Slough. Wherever you chose to go no details will be asked for or recorded.
If you are worried about knife crime in your area or if you want to speak to anyone about a specific concern then please do get in touch, either call the police on 101 or alternatively ring Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
