Delivery Areas

CPC receives a precept from every home in the parish to provide funding for its day-to-day operations, and to save towards long term projects supporting the community facilities and services. These can be grouped into four key themes:

Administration
CPC will continue to represent and support the community by commenting on planning applications, reviewing and delivering the objectives in the Neighbourhood Plan and administering three charities: Crowthorne Educational Charity, Morgan Recreation Ground Charity and Walter Recreation Ground Charity. It will also deliver parish council meetings, monthly councillor surgeries and the associated administrative work of running a recreation ground, public toilets, a woodland and two community halls.

Community
CPC will support the community through parish-led initiatives (eg Summer of Fun, Silver Sunday) and facilitate others to keep Crowthorne a vibrant, healthy and desirable place to live and work. This includes working with groups such as the Carnival Committee and local traders (eg Late Night Shopping) and partner and stakeholder organisations (eg Crowthorne Community Neighbourhood Action Group).

Recreation
CPC will continue to maintain and improve the Morgan Recreation Ground, the Walter Recreation Ground and Circle Hill Wood. This includes improvements to the facilities at the Morgan Rec to serve both the community’s leisure and community needs, such as improvements to the football pitch.

Our World
CPC will continue to support the move to a cleaner environment using sustainable energy, in response to the climate challenge. Projects such as the installation of solar panels, lobbying partner organisations to facilitate the installation of electric vehicle chargers, and managing the CPC estate and purchases, will be at the forefront of council efforts to reduce carbon emissions in the community.

All these projects are monitored regularly by the full council, or relevant working group, to ensure value for money and best practice.
