Crown Competition
Celebrate the King’s Coronation by making a crown from recycled materials.
Your chance to receive royal approval and win a prize!
Start collecting shiny wrappers,
sparkly packaging and colourful
boxes to ensure your crown
stands out.
Two classes -
Wear it to the Morgan Recreation Ground for judging at
Church Street, Crowthorne

on Saturday 6th May
Prizes kindly donated by
Poetry Competition
Use your perfect poetry skills to celebrate
the coronation of King Charles III.
Winning poets will receive a prize and their work displayed in
Crowthorne library.
Entries must be on lined paper with name, year group and school clearly written at the bottom of the sheet and delivered to Crowthorne Library or Parish Council offices before
10am on Monday 24th April.
After judging, prizes will be awarded at
Crowthorne’s Coronation
Party in the Park
on Saturday 6th May
Competition Rules
Crown making competition
- Crowns will be split into two classes for judging: Reception -
year 2 and years 3- 6. - The crowns must contain an element of reused and recycled items.
- The judges decision is final.
- First and second prizes for each class have generously been donated by Black Tie, on Chruch Street -
our local, award- winning experts in formal wear. - Prizes will be awarded at Crowthorne’s Coronation -
Party in the Park on 6th May where entrants will parade on stage. - Any photography at the prize giving event will be used to promote Crowthorne’s Coronation -
Party in the Park
Poetry competition
- The poems must celebrate the coronation of King Charles or the royal family.
- The judges decision is final.
- Prizes will be awarded to the three best poems.
- The three award winners and a further selection of poems will displayed in the library. Poets can contact the library to collect their poems at the end of the exhibition.
- The name, year group and school, written at the bottom of the poem will be on show in the library.
- Prizes will be awarded at Crowthorne’s Coronation -
