Enjoy new walking and cycling routes in
Bracknell Forest

New circular walking and cycling routes have been created across Bracknell Forest, to encourage residents to make the most of the borough’s excellent traffic-free network, to stay active and explore the borough on foot, or by bike.

Routes range from 10 to 20 kilometres in length, and there are five in total to try. Maps of the routes can be downloaded online and there are also colour-coded stickers on lampposts along the way to keep you on track.

Cllr Chris Turrell, Executive Member for Planning and Transport said:

“The launch of these routes is one of the many steps Bracknell Forest Council is taking to boost more active ways to travel around the borough.

“We hope these routes will be an exciting opportunity for people to introduce themselves to the great cycling and walking network we already have…

Congratulations Crowthorne!

There was a great turn out on Saturday for the long awaited Crowthorne Carnival.  People lined both Dukes Ride and the High Street to see the amazing procession parade by, celebrating ‘The Platinum Years, Monarchy, Music and Mayhem. 1952-2022'

The Scouts triumphed with their ‘Singing in the Rain’ float.  So despite the fine weather, everyone experienced a shower, or two, from a super soaker Scout, Cub or Beaver!  Oakland Schools celebrated with their Ju–kebox-ilee with more than 180 pop and rock stars from across the Platinum years.

The procession finished at the Morgan Rec where burgers, BMXs, beer, and even bees featured!  Cllr Bob Wade, chairman of Crowthorne Parish Council said “It is brilliant to see all the village out again, celebrating and taking part in this event.  The dog show has been very entertaining as have the live music and the BMX display.  Thank you to the Carnival Committee for organising such a great village event.”
